A transit bus driver in Gresham, Oregon, was on his regular route when something caught his eye in the middle of the street. It wasn’t an unrecognizable mass of some sort or a blown out tire, nor was it a downed power line. It was a young boy wandering the streets by himself. When driver Bill clark saw the toddler about to cross the busy Linden Avenue, he sprung into action.
Clark immediately stopped the bus and approached the 2-year-old, who had apparently snuck out of his father’s apartment while he was sleeping. Clark said the boy didn’t seem alarmed in any way, but he wasn’t able to describe the location of his home. The driver kept the boy busy with snacks and games until he was able to get a hold of the father.
