He’s Rushing His Young Daughters’ Wedding Day. The Reason Crushed Me!

Adying father has given his young daughters, Maren and Zoe, a memory to last a lifetime — proving there’s nothing bigger than a dad’s love for his little girls.

Charlie Kwentus, was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma, a brain tumor, but after years of surgeries, he recently stopped all treatment. With time running out, he decided to focus his final days building a bank of memories for his family.

When his girls, ages 9 and 13, realized that their dad probably wouldn’t be around for proms or weddings, a nonprofit called Annie’s Hope stepped in to help. Although the girls are too young to marry, the organization set up a very special night for the family at the Westborough Country Club, where they dined on a delicious dinner and then had their very own, father–daughter dance.

“I won’t be able to walk them down the aisle, but I will get this,” Charlie said.

This touching story comes in the footsteps of other heartbreaking stories — like the dying father who left messages for his three daughters to open on their wedding days, or the mother who stayed alive long enough to dance with her son on his wedding day.

In the video, the father and daughters’ poignant moment was captured on camera as loved ones looked on. He tried to hold back tears, telling them how much he loved them. This is an advance wedding gift his daughters will never forget.
