A 3-year-old boy from Lincoln, Nebraska, left his mother’s apartment without her knowing and walked to a nearby bowling alley where he crawled inside a crane machine.
According to KETV, the mother called the police at around 5:30 pm on Monday when she returned from her bathroom and found her son missing.
Police were combing the area when a customer at the bowling alley approached them just minutes into their search.
The boy was discovered to be sitting inside a crane machine, playing with the stuffed animals.
He is presumed to have climbed through the door where players grab their prizes, a space that is large enough for a toddler to fit through due to the larger sizes of some of the stuffed toys.
Bowling alley employees then called the company that makes the machine, which sent someone to open it up and let the boy out.
The mother and son were reunited, with the unharmed boy receiving a free stuffed animal from the machine.
