Captain Jack Sparrow may not be the first man thought of when it comes to visitors of Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
However, as 9 News reports, it turns out he was quite the guest. Captain Jack Sparrow gave hugs, sat down for a rare one-on-one interview with the hospital’s television show, and did very little of his usual sneaky antics.
He even brought along his trusty sidekick, Scrum.
“I want to salute you, all of you, for your courage and your bravery,” Jacksaid as a message to all the children of the hospital.
According to Juiced TV — the YouTube channel used by the young patients of the hospital — Johnny Depp stayed in character for over three hours interacting with as many children as he could.
He brought the jokes, made the children laugh, and took a couple selfies.
“Now if there are other people in it, why do you call it a selfie?” the captain joked.Mashable reports, Depp is in the middle of filming the fifth installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, Dead Men Tell No Tales, due to release in 2017.
