You can hear old love songs and Broadway hits through the corridors of the Valencia Hospital in California. Patients, professionals and people who work at the hospital aren’t surprised at all. They all know Jared Axen, a registered nurse who uses his singing skills to create a special connection with his patients.
“It’s an incredible way to be able to bond with somebody” said Jared, who has worked at the hospital for five years. His music has the power to soothe the soul and diminish pain, but also shows how small gestures of love can make a big difference. A beautiful voice and a beautiful young man, we need more people like him in this world.
