Autistic teen found chained up in Blacktown home

 

THE mother of an autistic teenage boy who was chained to a bed inside his Western Sydney home while she went shopping has not been charged.

A charity worker allegedly discovered the 16-year-old chained to a bed in his Blacktown house in Mort Street on Tuesday and called emergency services, who freed the Sudanese boy.

The 38-year-old mother of five arrived home shortly after and was arrested, but police on Wednesday said she has been released without charge.
