Picture an amazing restaurant. It might be someplace you’ve been, or somewhere you’re dying to go. Think about what makes it so great. Is it the food? The drinks? The location? Now that you’re salivating, we’re here to show you an alternative that will probably blow your favorite restaurant out of the water.
Then again, your pick probably wasn’t in the water to begin with, was it?
Welcome to Cloud 9, a pizzeria that floats on the beautiful waters of Fiji, over the Ro Ro Reef.
Only accessible by boat, this floating speck of a restaurant can be reached in two hours by a regular boat from Port Denarau, or in 45 minutes by speedboat. There are closer departing points, as well. Cloud 9 is two stories, and features a restaurant, bar, music, and lounging areas.
While waiting on their pie, visitors are encouraged to take a dip in the crystal waters.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 100 people, and all ages are welcome. They’re also planning on offering a variety of water sports for visitors, including snorkeling, jet-skiing, and more.
You can lounge on the deck and enjoy a freshly made pizza and a drink.
There are cocktails and smoothies at the bar, and the pizzas are made to order.
Yes, we can definitely see ourselves here.
If you’re wondering about how this restaurant keeps the water so clean, it’s because it has pretty rigorous environmental standards. All septic and food waste is collected into a tank, and at the end of the day, it’s ferried by boat to the Mamanuca Environmental Society gardens, where it is composted.
