She’s Making Bacon Wrapped Dates. What Are YOU Making For Dinner?

Who doesn’t love bacon? The appealing and tempting smell along with that crackling sound cooking entices my appetite and makes me drool every time! So naturally, when it is coupled with another food item that I love, I am beyond thrilled! (If you haven’t noticed already- I’m such a foodie!)

The sweet and savory flavor profile of bacon wrapped dates will surely turn this snack into your favorite. This little treat is the perfect finger food for a gathering at the house. Football season is right around the corner, and most of the guys would love these delicacies. It is also a good way to trick the kids into participating in something that is healthy for the most part.

That’s right, we said healthy! Dates have been around for a very long time. The fruit offers a vast array of health benefits which include boosting brain and heart health, and reducing high blood pressure.

To make this recipe, you will need goat cheese, pitted dates, and bacon. In the first step, slice the dates open and fill with goat cheese. Next, slice the bacon in half and wrap the goat cheese-filled date. It is that simple!

Place foil on a baking sheet and add the wrapped dates. Place in a pre-heated 400-degree oven for 30 minutes. The mouth-watering result can be topped off with a drizzle of maple syrup. The crisp from the bacon combined with the softness of the dates and cheese mesh perfectly and will ignite your taste buds.

Yum! I know what’s on the dinner menu tonight! SHARE the love and pass it on.
